About The Austrian Actor

How Government Policy Affects Your Business, Your Wealth, and Your Freedom

Why Austrian Economics?

Friedrich Hayek

Mises, Hayek, Rothbard, and their contemporaries built an economics grounded in how real human beings actually make decisions — not how models assume they do. They understood that prices are signals, not levers. That intervention creates distortions. That every government “solution” sets off a chain of unintended consequences that falls hardest on the people closest to the ground: entrepreneurs, business owners, savers, and workers.

The Name

An actor, in the Austrian sense, is anyone who takes purposeful action to improve their situation. Not a passive observer of the economic environment — someone who moves within it, adapts to it, and finds opportunity inside it.
